Stand By Me
Stand By Me | Playing For Change | Song Around The World from Concord Music Group on Vimeo.
"This cover of Stand By Me was recorded by completely unknown artists in a street virtual studio all around the world. It all started with a base track—vocals and guitar—recorded on the streets of Santa Monica, California, by a street musician called Roger Ridley. The base track was then taken to New Orleans, Louisiana, where Grandpa Elliott—a blind singer from the French Quarter—added vocals and harmonica while listening to Ridley's base track on headphones. In the same city, Washboard Chaz's added some metal percussion to it.
And from there, it just gets rock 'n' rolling bananas: The producers took the resulting mix all through Europe, Africa, and South America, adding new tracks with multiple instruments and vocals that were assembled in the final version you are seeing in this video. All done with a simple laptop and some microphones."

1000 Dollar Boots
I noticed from Facebook that Airkingsound's Mr. T has a birthday today, also noticed that Dan Shepula has a birthday also. Jesus Christ... have a happy birthday dudes! Drink beer and listen to this song.
The lyrics are in old "Helsinki Slang" and they tell the story of 1000 dollar boots. The singer is Tuomari Nurmio, one of the most legendary guys from Finnish Pop Music.
Enjoy.
The Pervert's Guide To Cinema
This 3 piece show rules. I highly recommend if you have lust for films.

My kind of a bar.
post edit: also... this is exactly the way I would want to do a Vanhainkoti live show after I start doing songs with lyrics.

The All Amazing Bazooko Sprinkler Orchestra presents: Aerobic On Acid Recording Session
Here's a beautiful video that I put together from our yesterday's Aerobic On Acid recording session. It's going to be a beautiful album full of melodies and harmonies that will turn your soul into a herring.

Henry Lee
So nice... I've always loved Nick Cave's bass-player, I think he does amazing stuff on every song. Don't know his name... hmm...
Also in the very end of this video.. the announcer of that show throws out amazing stuff from his mouth...

VANHAINKOTI - Rallikuskin Viimeiset Hetket
Guess what? I made a new song today. It's called in English "The Last Moments Of A Rally Driver"
Enjoy.

Humppa
Yes I'm one of those proud weirdos that witnessed Eläkeläiset 15 Year Anniversary concert at Ilosaarirock 2008. That was seriously one of the funniest gigs I've ever seen. I was quite drunk too. Total ruling.
Aavikko
Aavikko's drummer Tomi Leppänen is in my opinion one of the best drummers in Finland. Just watch him play through this song. Amazing stuff!
The sound of the video seems to come only from the right speaker, but it goes well with this type of music.
Check it out. Drummers rule.

Halo: Combat Evolved
After many hours of Playstation that machine from hell got thrown into the nearby "lake" where I lived. There's actually a Vanhainkoti song about it... called: "Terveisiä Lammesta".
So it took me quite a while to get back on the horse... but then I bought Xbox and Halo 1. I was sold. It was one of the best fps game I had played ever and when you played it with your friend on split-screen, it ruled. Halo 2 was kinda dissappointment and Halo 3 I haven't even played, cause I don't own a console. Anyways Halo 1 rocked and it still probably is one of the best fps games ever made.

Final Fantasy VII
Then I got myself Playstation 1 and shit... Final Fantasy VII blew my fucking mind. I remember sitting in my room on my bed playing this for hours.
What a great youth I had.
Also this game reminds me how horrible it is when you got a cool game but those fucking assholes will release it only on 1 platform. Stupid fuckers. Sorry... but that's just how I roll with my mind!
Quake
And after months of Duke, I was ready to be scared again. So I went to the United States Of America and bought myself Quake 1. Man I loved this game. Played it through many times and also I must say... one of the best albums Nine Inch Nails has ever done is the motherfucking Quake 1 soundtrack. Look it up, it rules!
Duke Nukem
And then there was this golden piece of pc gaming history. I went so far that I started doing maps for it, which we played with Mikko (Trio Pussit) for hours online through slow modem connection.
Doom
And so did this classic. I remember playing it for hours in a dark room scared as fuck. Times have changed. These days I can't play Dead Space more than 5 minutes/1 monster. It's too creepy. What the hell is wrong with me.
Butterbeer
"Ever wonder how they make Butterbeer in Harry Potter? This song has the recipe."

Billion Dollar Brain
"Location filming for Billion Dollar Brain took place in Helsinki and other parts of Finland, including Turku. The Riga scenes were filmed in Porvoo. The remainder of the film was shot at Pinewood Studios."

My friends at work have turned into Powerball addicts. I'm still free from the grip of that ball. It feels really funny and it looks like you are masturbating.
Sick BubbleGum
I've always liked Rob Zombie's musical world. This new song sounds like his older stuff with White Zombie. Can't wait for the new album. Although I must say that the best album he has ever been part of is Astro-Creep: 2000. That album contains such a beautiful metal riffs that it even today gives me goosebumps when I listen to it. But hell... I like this new song. Maybe the album will rock!
Who knows. Not me.

Rockway
This guy taught me how to play bass when I was 15 years old. I remember him saying "Let's forget about those notes and start slapping"
Sit And Listen, Sit And Listen...
I've been a bit sad lately and man... there's nothing better than good music for your soul! I know I've posted this song before... I just love it. It's probably one of the best "crying songs" that I know. I really love this Gary Jules guy playing it... and now I found his acoustic guitar live version of it. Rules!
Mad world.
Furby From Hell
"This Furby's brain was randomly modified by me and now it speaks robotic noises."
says the author of this video...
NICE!

I'm actually quite speechless... all we need now is the summer... 5 months to go. 5 long months.... 5.... 5.... 5....

Probably posted this before... well let's watch it again!
Aerobic On Acid
Only thing missing from this fan video is the original music by TJ & Me, the notorious song called: "Aerobic On Acid" from 2001. Look for the upcoming album coming in 2011.
