Vappu Is Coming

On 30th of this month... uhmm.. April... Is the annual drinking party here in Finland! Every year thousands of young people and old, mostly young, go out and drink the whole evening, on the next day the old people drink. It's fun! We celebrate that we are workers and students and something.. . To me it's always been a day of total drinking and this year is no exception. The video is about the Swedish style to celebrate Vappu as you can see, they are pretty dull. The thing is to wet your pants. It really is. You should witness it.

Oh yes. Can't wait.

On the other news, I'm going to middle-Finland to drink beer once again for the weekend. I'm sorry that I haven't been much of a blogger this month, it's been busy.

Also, I ordered my first large diagram microphone yesterday. I have no idea how to use one, but that's why I call the music of Vanhainkoti "Experimental"... I experiment on things... you know.

I forgot how fucking amazing this song is. Maybe it's that I've been inside 4 walls for 4 days now... because I'm sick and soon I'm sick mentally if I don't get out. Maybe tomorrow I feel better. This totally amazing song is the thing for this beautiful Saturday morning here in Helsinki city. You should see it. The sun is coming up from the clear blue sky. I can see that the air is pretty cool still... but hey, we are almost there and "there" means: SUMMER! Hell yeah! Summer is coming, sooner than expected. Did you know that I have spin-off blog? It's called Laughter Life. Just click on it and you can go into another dimension of... well me and my crap! Internets are funny. It took me the whole Funky Town song to write this. How funky is that?!

Ok I go now. I'm a sick man.

Maybe I should play some more of that GTA IV, I already got in to the 3rd chapter. That bank robbery mission was very cool, I was missing that kind of a mission in GTA since Vice City, which I think is the best GTA game so far.

As the release of my 5 EPs are getting somewhat closer... all that probably needs to be done to those is a bit EQ madness and maybe add some distorted guitar somewhere, don't know, but I'm having a good feeling about the songs and I think they are almost ready!

So... in the meanwhile I started doing another album! Hahaha! Here's a small DEMO preview of something that's coming out probably in the year 2011, It's a huge project and I have to record a lot of stuff. Who knows maybe some parts of this song will end up there also. This is a song that I "finished" just 1 hour ago, I got the inspiration for it from the greatest composer of all time... STIG BAASVIK, a man who can write songs out of whistling.

Geology

The new album by those evil Swedish weirdos called "The Knife" is absolutely amazing. Think about listening to an album which you might expect to be "Electronic Pop" or something like that and your third track sounds like this (the video above)... Holy fuck that's amazing. People should really make their music the way they want it, not the way the record company wants them. Unless their record company tells them to do an "opera album"...

This album "Tomorrow, In a year" reminds me of those The Residents albums which I listened to the first time and thought to myself "I bet they had fun doing it, I wanna do it also!".

Opera is the new black. Check it out!!

Why would anybody want to ruin Toxic Avenger?

"Deadline New York says "the group intends to turn Toxie into a green superhero for these environmentally conscious times." The remake is expected to be a family friendly PG-13 action comedy."

Why the hell first of all people make sucky remakes out of movies that rule?

And second of all... if the movie is considered as 80's blood splatting weirdo classic... PG-13 doesn't quite fit in there now does it?

The electricity was shut down during the gig by a man who didn't like the music and the movie peaks after that on a furious "trumpet battle" between the pissed off Trio Pussit bass-player & some jazz trumpet-player from another band.

Trio Pussit asked permission from Erkki Pirtola to upload this movie to the web so everybody can witness what really happened...

...And Erkki said: "YES, THAT'S FUN!"
